The Business Development Manager – Cloud is a role with specialized skills who works with Partners & Microsoft’s internal sales roles to identify, develop and drive opportunities in Cloud workloads.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with internal account managers to further qualify opportunities and eventually to engage a partner to help close the deal
  • Perform “whitespace” analysis and territory planning with partners, targeting assigned workloads. Engage with them in sales (co-visits, presales) and marketing (launch co-marketing activities for their customer dbase)
  • Visit end customers in order to promote our Cloud value proposition
  • Works primarily in the 0-20% sales stage, with a bonus paid on specific closed revenue, deal velocity, and qualified pipeline impacted
  • Increase the technical capacity and capability of our targeted channel partners: Train / ready our partner ecosystem in Office 365 & Azure technologies (hands on deployment scenarios, technical, MS Cloud value proposition, sales skills, etc.).
  • Follows up with Partner Sales Executives (PSE) on opportunity status while helping to re-move any sales-blockers
  • Internal ‘subject matter expert’ for other inside sellers
  • Understand clients’ infrastructure, identify pain points/business needs then position work-loads appropriately – identify opportunity for cross sell and route deal appropriately
  • Report & monitor on-going pipeline across relevant workloads


Requirements:

  • 5-10 years experience in presales, technical sales and/or channel management in the IT industry;
  • Knowledge of cloud technology and its procedures for application - O365&Azure is an advantage
  • Good communication and negotiation skills
  • Excellent influencing&impact skills
  • Fluency in English and Greek language
