Software Engineer @ Vodafone

Role purpose:

To take over the responsibility for the undisruptive operation and support of all processes and applications of CRM and EAI team and the support of the Middleware system.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

  • Deploy Management (Review- Versioning - Rollback - Troubleshooting - Testing)
  • Incident/Problem Management
  • System/Application Administration (Maintenance - Monitor - Housekeeping
  • Provide technical documentation for the WebSphere application server’s structure
  • Provide 2nd Level support for Minor Issues/Bugs (Java implementations/Development)

 

Core competencies, knowledge:

  • Proven analytical capability
  • Good understanding of middleware IT systems with experience preferably in OPCO
  • Ability to work independently if needed and to take initiatives during troubleshooting and resolution of issues
  • 24x7 Application support
  • Excellent communication & influencing skills
  • Ability to cope with complex projects and tight deadlines

 

Must have technical / professional qualifications and Experience:

  • M.Sc. in Computer Science
  • English language (Fluent _oral and written)
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office tools
  • Experience (at least 2 years) in Unix and Oracle environment
  • Experience (at least 1 year) in administration, monitoring and maintenance of IBM WebSphere application servers
  • Excellent knowledge of Java programming language
  • Knowledge of SOA,BPEL and Web Services
